Kasamani Mandela Ahmed

Kasamani Mandela Ahmed (Dip Ag)

Field Supervisor

Ahmed Mandela Kasman grew up on a farm in an area where sugarcane farming exposed him to institutionalized agribusiness attention and mechanized farming at an early age. He studied at Mawengo Technical Institute and took computer classes, targeting working at Mumias Sugar Company. He attained this goal by going a step further to train for a Certificate in Sugarcane Production at the then, extremely well managed (Mumias) Sugar Company. Equipped with an Intermediate Defensive Driving Certificate from Automobile Association of Kenya, Ahmed was hired by Mumias where he gained huge experience managing land preparation and transport machinery across the Sugar Industry Zones of Kenya, for 7 years. Ahmed knows what it means to receive new fleets of machinery, as well as work old ones with efficiency. He knows how to manage and service agricultural machinery and record their work performance (hard and soft), etc. During his years at Agrimech he has become familiar with High Level Operator and Booking Agent Training as the company’s prime Field Supervisor. Today he is an excellent farmers’ and Mechanization Service Providers’ friend, loaded with operational systems, tools and other etiquette. Working under the Hello Tractor partnership with Agrimech, Ahmed knows the value and is familiar with Digital Platform Operation and Data management.

As if to mimic his namesake, Mr Mandela has a ready welcoming smile and cool demeanor, able to stand the hardest of work conditions, if only to get his job done. This father of two boys has 25 years of farming experience to build upon. For Agrimech, Ahmed has worked in North Rift, Homabay (and greater South Nyanza), Nyandarua and Meru, ably representing the company with great confidence in many an event, including those hosted by partners. Ahmed states that: “A career in Agriculture is more than just a job. It is a way of life for those who take great pride in their work, with the common purpose of providing the world with quality food, fuel and fibre”. He loves to travel, read, play and watch movies.
